CATS Awards Winners Announced

Last night, Sunday 12 June, the 14th annual Critics’ Awards for Theatre in Scotland were held at the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh.

The awards were guest hosted by Daniela Nardini and Sanjeev Kohli and celebrated a year’s worth of incredible theatre in Scotland. The Scottish Drama Training Network were proud to be sponsoring the award for Best Male Performance and would like to congratulate all the actors nominated; Cliff Burnett, Sandy Grierson, Paul Higgins and Barrie Hunter.

Sandy Grierson was announced as the winner for his performance in Lanark: A Life in Three Acts. The production also won Best Design (Laura Hopkins, Nigel Edwards and Simon Wainwright) and Best Technical Presentation. Lanark: A Life in Three Acts was a joint commission between the Citizens Theatre and the Edinburgh International Festival in association with Graham Eatough and Sorcha Dallas.
