Exclusive screening of Avarita at SDTN Conference

The SDTN Conference 2016: Innovation and Creativity will be held at the Edinburgh Festival Hub on Thursday 29 September. As part of this year’s inspiring line up, SDTN have the privilege of an exclusive screening of short film Avarita. Directed by QMU’s Walid Salhab and produced by Robert Welsh and Roslyn Campbell this stunning piece of work premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year.

A review in the Edinburgh Reporter said the film is “nothing short of spellbinding” and compared it to the works of Sylvain Chomet. The film was filmed over a two year period, is a unique blend of stop-motion and live action and is made up of over 9,000 individual photographs, set to a beautiful piano score by composer, Jennifer Austin.
