SDTN welcomes a new director.

After six years at the helm, our founding Director, Alison Forsyth, has stepped down from the post and out into the world beyond SDTN!  She ended her contract on 31st December 2015 and the Management Group and staff team made sure she had a good send off.  Alison will stay with us on an occasional basis and the first such occasion is between now and March in fact.  She is working on the annual event that is Moving Image and just prior to her departure she was successful in securing BBC Scotland as a new partner in that event.

I am delighted to announce that Lucy Vaughan has been appointed to succeed Alison.  Formerly the Head of Creative Learning at the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh (amongst other roles) Lucy brings with her a wealth of experience in professional theatre and in Further Education.  As part of her early work she will no doubt endeavour to meet all member institutions at the earliest opportunity.  She will begin her duties on February 1st 2016 and I know you will join me in welcoming her.

Prof. Maggie Kinloch, Chair of SDTN Management Group
