A Creative Convention for Academics Invested in the Arts in Participatory Settings

Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow

Tuesday 13 May, 11am – 4pm

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, in partnership with Glasgow School of Art and supported by ArtWorks Scotland, invite you to attend a Creative Convention for Academics Invested in the Arts in Participatory Settings.

This is the first of three knowledge exchange sessions for academics in Further Education and Higher Education who have an interest and investment in the arts in education and society, representing students and graduating artists who will work in participatory settings.

The focus of the meetings will be to support dialogue and connectedness, to explore the first steps to enable better working together within the sector and, in turn, benefit the training of artists working in participatory settings.

This first meeting will feature speakers based at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland who are experts in supporting future artists to experience working in participatory settings.

There will also be the opportunity to tour the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s brand new building, Speirs Lock Studios 2 and attend the Musical Theatre students’ Candid Cabaret performance or watch the Big Band in Concert, led by Chris Greave.

If you would like to attend please book online. If you are unable to do so please contact Viviane Hullin, Short Courses Projects Co-ordinator (v.hullin@rcs.ac.uk) or alternatively call the Short Courses office on 0141 270 8213.

Please note booking will close on Tuesday 6 May.
