EIFF Short Film Challenge

EIFF is delighted to announce a brand new short film competition for 2014- the EIFF Short Film Challenge.

The EIFF Short Film Challenge is looking to support both new and up-coming talent particularly encouraging those who are not yet professionally involved in the industry to take their first step in filmmaking.

Your film can be fiction or non-fiction, live action or animated. It can be filmed on a camera phone or using professional equipment and software. However you want to do it, we want to see it.

Our only criteria is that your film makes reference to our 2014 key word which is FOURTEEN. Your film can be about anything at all but must include some reference to FOURTEEN.

You will have the opportunity to showcase your work both through a public screening during the Edinburgh Fringe and also via our own on demand service Filmhouse Player.

Fifteen finalists will be selected by EIFF programmers and will be screened at Filmhouse in Edinburgh on Saturday 16 August 2014. A specially selected jury will attend the screening and announce the winning film after the screening.

The winning filmmakers will receive an all expenses paid opportunity to attend Encounters Short Film & Animation Festival in Bristol in September 2014.

For full details please see the EIFF Short Film Challege page http://www.edfilmfest.org.uk/talentdevelopment/challenge

The deadline for submitting films is 6pm on Friday 6 June
