Carnegie College
Welcome
The College was founded 111 years ago with a legacy provided by Andrew Carnegie to honour the vision of his uncle George Lauder. We pride ourselves on our excellent record of helping students to meet their learning goals, personal ambitions and in assisting them to create their future.
Today the College stands at the forefront of Further Education in Scotland and is highly regarded as a major provider of education and training for individuals, communities, businesses and public authorities throughout Fife and Central Scotland. We offer over 250 courses, at various levels, from Introduction and National Qualifications through to Higher National and degree and postgraduate courses, delivered by a collegiate model of three schools of excellence supporting education and skills for employability, wealth creation and economic development:
All Performing Arts courses and programmes are offered from within The School of Technology and Creative Arts. Much of the delivery is organised within our MediaSpace building, a centre of excellence for creative and cultural arts, but we also utilise a variety of local theatre and performing spaces to enhance and extend learning opportunities and provide access to real theatre experiences.
Our Performing Arts portfolio of courses has been designed to allow access at a level which suits individual experience and qualifications. All programmes have pathways to further study. For those who wish to seek employment, there is ample opportunity within each level to build enterprise and employability skills alongside acting and performing skills. Our patron is Black Watch playwright Gregory Burke.
