Adam Smith College
Radio
Creative Industries - Radio
(HND)
Radio broadcasting in the UK is undergoing an unprecedented period of growth as new independent local and community radio stations compete to provide an increasing choice and variety of programmes. This, in turn, has created a buoyant employment market for the ‘all round’ skilled broadcaster. Through this HND, you will develop professional skills and experience in all aspects of radio, and maximise your employment opportunities.
As part of the course, students may undertake a period of work placement with BBC Radio Scotland or Independent Radio Stations in a variety of posts. Practical Projects Experience of producing and recording various types and styles of programmes to professional broadcast standards is encouraged through practical work. Participants will also have the opportunity to present live music programmes within the College.
Media Production

It is based on the analysis, design and creation of practical products and projects in the key areas of Television, Radio and Journalism.
